Company membership fees

Membership of the environmental design and compliance club runs from 1 April to 31 March each year and is charged per company. Membership allows an unlimited number of employees at the company to set up user accounts and use the web-based environmental design and compliance system. Indeed, we encourage companies to ensure that a range of product design and development staff become regular users of the system, so that logging into www.consumer-ecodesign.com becomes an integral part of the company's new product design process.

First year company membership fee

The first year membership fee is £15,000 plus VAT and includes the cost of the introductory workshop and webinars. The first year company membership fee covers:

  • Attendance for up to four staff at the kick-off workshop in London
  • Attendance at subsequent training webinars. There is no restriction on the number of staff who may attend these webinars.
  • Access to the web-based environmental design and compliance system on www.consumer-ecodesign.com. Each employee at the company will be able set up their own user account (this will be validated against the domain of the user’s e-mail address).
  • Administration of the CERT scheme

First year membership runs from 1 April to 31 March and is charged per company.

Annual company membership fees for subsequent years

In subsequent years we anticipate that member companies will make increased use of the CERT scheme. At the same time, we will continue to expand the www.consumer-ecodesign.com web system and webinars as a centre of excellence for all aspects of environmental design and compliance for consumer electronics manufacturers. The annual membership fee for subsequent years is £15,000 plus VAT and covers:

  • Ongoing access to the web-based environmental design and compliance system on consumer-ecodesign.com for all employees at the company
  • Regular updates to the legislation database and environmental design database, and associated webinars
  • Ongoing administration of the CERT scheme
